In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of banned rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Features

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also brings the game's latest complimentary story episode, titled "The Enigma."
